Abstract:

The main distinguishing feature of ultra-wideband antennas (UWBA) is their ultra-wideband nature, or, in other words, the need to conduct measurements over a very wide frequency range (hundreds of megahertz). This feature imposes certain requirements on both the algorithm and the measurement instruments. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a separate, comprehensive measurement method that allows for determining the values of all required characteristics and taking into account operating conditions.

A comprehensive method for conducting experimental studies of UWBA characteristics has been developed. Frequency dependences of the SWR and gain of certain UWBA types have been obtained through calculations and experiments.

The proposed method allows for evaluating antenna performance and comparing them to determine the most suitable option.
