Abstract:

The article analyzes the method for calibrating a multifunctional measuring complex (MMC) designed for experimental evaluation of radar cross-section (RCS) characteristics of aircraft samples (AS) in real-time flights on a ground-to-air path, using a Luneburg lens positioned within the MMC's woking zone by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). A review of the experience of using various simple geometric bodies as reference reflectors (RR) for MMC calibration is presented, taking into account the specific features of conducting measurements under real flight conditions. The results of testing a prototype of the RR based on a small-sized Luneburg lens using various types of UAVs are demonstrated.
