Problem statement. Detecting low-speed small targets against the background of passive radar interference from the underlying surface is an urgent non-trivial task. In such conditions, various filtering and threshold adaptation methods are used to increase the detection efficiency and stabilize the probability of false alarms, assuming the presence of a priori information about the parameters of passive interference. To evaluate them, it is necessary to analyze the features of the formation of a radar signal from vegetation in various observation conditions. The features of the formation of a radar signal from vegetation are considered, and the dependence of the parameters of the radar energy spectrum on wind speed is investigated. The change in the intensity of the passive interference depending on the wind speed has been studied. The probability distribution densities of the passive interference are obtained for various values of wind velocity. The implementation of the research results will make it possible to more accurately adapt anti-interference algorithms in Doppler radars, taking into account the required probability of false alarms over the entire controlled range, thereby increasing the efficiency of the radar as a whole.
