Abstract:

Statement of a problem. Brewster's effect is formulated as a condition under which the electric vector of electric field of the reflected wave is equal to zero, and at the theoretical description of communication of dielectric permeability with a wave hade on a plate at an angle of Brewster there is no dependence of amplitude of the reflected wave on frequency and thickness of a plate. Within physical optics on Fresnel's formulas and when performing boundary conditions it is possible to calculate the phase and amplitude angular and frequency dependences for the reflected wave connected with Brewster's effect, but his physical description is absent. The existing model of the reflected light as secondary radiation, became obviously outdated. Other physical models describing Brewster's effect in the form of the sum of the running waves keep dependence of intensity of the reflected wave on frequency and thickness of a plate that does not allow to explain falling of amplitude of the reflected wave on angular dependence to zero. It is offered to construct, for an explanation of effect of Brewster, an algorithm of definition of intensity of the reflected wave only on the basis of superposition of waves on border of a dielectric plate.

Purpose. Modeling of physical processes on plate border for an explanation of emergence of effect of Brewster within geometrical optics.

Results. The algorithm of superposition of waves on border of a dielectric plate for formation of the reflected wave which describes falling of amplitude and the jump of a phase on angular dependence of the reflected wave corresponding to Brewster's effect is made.

Results. The algorithm of superposition of waves on border of a dielectric plate for formation of the reflected wave which describes falling of amplitude and the jump of a phase on angular dependence of the reflected wave corresponding to Brewster's effect is made.   Practical importance. The received model of superposition of waves in a zero point on border of a plate describes physical conditions of emergence of effect of Brewster without being beyond geometrical optics.
