Abstract:

Navigation apparatus of Global Positioning Systems are wildly used in many applications. To improve characteristics of navigational support in jamming environment there are used antenna arrays (AA) that realize spatial processing of received signals. This processing allowed not only to suppress jamming but to estimate angular coordinates of a jammer emitter. There are published a lot of articles on angular direction estimation algorithms using AA. But they are not bound up with navigation apparatus AA of which have not much antenna elements (from 4 to 8) that are spaced each apart other by signal half-wave in L frequency range. Therefore, the question naturally arises can we use known angular direction estimation algorithms in navigation apparatus with such AA and what accuracy characteristics cold be achieved.

Objective. Analysis of angular direction estimation algorithms in navigation apparatus with antenna arrays that involve not much antenna elements.
