Goal. Development of an automatic extremum-stabilizing control approach with quality comparable to classic extremal automatic control systems and increased reliability due to the absence of constant control signal switching and search loss.
Results. The presented approach provides the control signal stabilization at a periodically determined optimal level. Based on the well-known approach of step extremal control systems, a search algorithm has been developed to determine the optimal value of the control signal. The results of the performed simulation of the control process of a nonlinear nonstationary stochastic object with slow changes in characteristics are presented. The developed approach showed high control quality indicators in comparison with step extremal control system.
Practical significance. The proposed approach is designed to solve the problems of automatic control of nonlinear stochastic objects under the influence of external disturbances, leading to slow non-stationary changes in the object parameters. The developed search algorithm provides periodic determination of the extremum level, and the stabilization mode maintains the control signal at this level, thereby compensating for slow changes in parameters without search loss. Implementation of the presented control approach has a positive effect on the output characteristics of the object and is able to increase the potential operating time.
