As the methods of modulating signals of radio-emitting objects become increasingly complex, their identification, as well as the determination of the internal structure of the received signal using high-order cumulants, becomes especially important. Evaluation of the potential accuracy of calculating the cumulants of radio-emitting objects is necessary for accurate calculation of resource-intensive operations and analysis of significant features of the signal. The problem of identifying radio-emitting objects using high-order cumulants is very relevant in conditions of parametric a priori uncertainty, as well as in connection with the compaction of the frequency spectrum.
Goal. Development of a methodology for assessing the potential accuracy of calculating cumulants of radio-emitting objects.
Results. The developed method allows obtaining estimates of the potential accuracy of calculating cumulants under conditions of parametric a priori uncertainty of a number of signal parameters, including the carrier frequency and initial phase.
Practical significance. The results of the work made it possible to evaluate the resources of the processing equipment at the stage of preliminary design.
