Currently, modern and promising radio engineering monitoring tools that work in the interests of solving electronic warfare tasks are required to effectively detect and locate any number of various electronic devices operating on the air. At the same time, electronic devices operate with rapid frequency tuning from pulse to pulse in a wide range of frequencies. Many electronic devices operate under noise conditions by using broadband phase-coded modulation. In practice, the ability to meet all the requirements for radio monitoring equipment is significantly limited using existing radio monitoring equipment. This leads to a contradiction that needs to be resolved.
The purpose of this article is to identify the main directions and problematic issues in the development of radio engineering monitoring tools for electronic warfare in order to increase their effectiveness.
The article analyzes new threats and the main factors that determine the need for the development of radio engineering monitoring tools. It identifies the main approaches to the design of radio engineering monitoring tools and technical solutions that can be used to effectively counter new threats.
The proposed design approaches and technical solutions can be applied in the development of modern and advanced radio engineering monitoring tools.
