The presence of external interference affects the sensitivity of the radiometer and can overload the receiver, which may make it impossible to take measurements. The study of effective methods and algorithms for the operation of microwave radiometers in conditions of external interference is an urgent problem. This article discusses an algorithm for accounting for the effects of external interference in the case of pulse interference. This algorithm includes detecting the presence of external interference, excluding samples containing pulse interference, and then processing the remaining samples to calculate the antenna temperature. In case of inapplicability of this algorithm, a method is proposed that works in the constant presence of interference, which is based on iterative interference suppression.
