Application of different statistical criteria for solution the problems of targets detection within large search zones with using noncoherent integration of radar signals set is analyzed. Two stage detection procedure with constant samples number and single threshold rule at each stage is offered and analyzed. For the first detection stage dependence of full error probability on threshold level is determined. It is shown that optimal threshold level exists for which full error probability is minimal. It is shown that gain of up to 4 times in examining time of search zone can be reached with two stage detection procedure as compared to Neumann-Pearson criterion detection by equivalent on detection parameters single stage detection procedure in practically actual case of small targets density.
