Abstract:

The article describes the process of research of single-cell hail clouds using meteorological radar MRL-5. The research was conducted in the vicinity of the VGI scientific research site "Kyzburun-2" in conditions of strongly rugged terrain. The purpose of the research was to build an empirical model of clouds of this type, through which, in real time, it is planned to identify the most dangerous of them to carry out active actions to prevent hail. In the process of this work, 140 clouds were investigated, and some relationships of their structure and development are presented in this paper.
