Abstract:

A unified classification of principles for constructing frequency-independent antennas of various classes, differing in directionality criterion, from weakly directional to highly directional, is proposed. The connection between the principles of construction and the corresponding principles and theorems of electrodynamics is established. The previously known principles used in the construction of well-known frequency-independent antennas are considered and systematized. New principles have been introduced, expanding the application of the known ones, and aimed at their application in the construction of highly directional aperture antennas and arrays.
