Formulation of the problem. The optimal algorithm for distinguishing and estimating the signal parameter, which involves the analysis of all parameter values, is computationally complex and is not used in practice. The classical algorithm for solving this problem consists in finding the maximum absolute value from a limited set of correlators spaced with a certain step. It is computationally simple, but it has energy losses, and the accuracy of parameter estimation even for large values if the signal-to-noise ratio is limited by the spacing interval. Therefore, today it is relevant to develop an algorithm that, compensating for the shortcomings of the classical approach, would optimally use the entire set of correlators to estimate the signal parameter without reducing the step of their ranking.
Purpose. To propose an algorithm for distinguishing and estimating the parameters of radio navigation signals from a set of "spaced" correlators, using the entire set of correlators with the largest allowable step equal to the correlation interval.
Results. An algorithm for distinguishing and estimating the parameters of radio navigation signals by a set of "separated" correlators in two versions is presented: 1) simplified, taking into account only the main lobe of the correlation function (CF); 2) complete, non-limiting CF. A comparative analysis of the characteristics of this algorithm with the characteristics of the optimal and classical algorithms is carried out. It is shown that the proposed algorithm has greater sensitivity and accuracy of estimating the desired parameter than the classical algorithm, and close (in some cases) to the characteristics of the optimal algorithm.
Practical significance. The proposed algorithm for distinguishing and estimating the parameters of radio navigation signals from a set of "spaced" correlators optimally uses the entire set of correlators, compensating for the shortcomings of the classical algorithm.
