Abstract:

The theory of an elementary emitter located near a semi-infinite semiconducting dielectric has been created only for a homogeneous and flat-layered medium. The underlying surface under natural conditions, near which the emitter is located, is a vertically inhomogeneous medium with an arbitrary permittivity profile. However, the solution to the problem of the influence of the underlying surface with an arbitrary dielectric permittivity profile in the near-surface layer on the characteristics of an elementary emitter has not yet been obtained. We are evaluated the directional characteristics of the near-surface emitter of the high frequency range at different stages of soil moisture evaporation. The results of model calculations demonstrated the influence of the view of moisture profile in the soil's surface layer of on the directional characteristics of a quarter-wave monopole. It's indicate the need to use the data of vertical distribution soil moisture in the toplayer in assessing the directional characteristics of emitting systems with a high degree of accuracy.
