An effective method of expanding the coverage area of field portable radios is to connect an external directional antenna to the radio station instead of a standard pin. At the same time, there is a need to create compact small-sized directional antennas that provide the required characteristics in specified frequency bands in a wide temperature range, taking into account technological tolerances for structural and electrophysical parameters.
The article discusses the results of the development of flat spiral antennas that provide expansion of the coverage area of portable radio stations. The approach to the majorant estimation of antenna characteristics deviations related to climatic factors and technological tolerances based on the sensitivity theory apparatus is substantiated. The calculations of the characteristics are carried out taking into account the majorant deviations. Experimental studies have been carried out, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed approach and the developed technical solutions.
