Abstract:

When building a broadband radio access network in urban areas, a number of specific problems arise related to vandalism, the need to mask communication objects, as well as the preservation of the architectural appearance of historical parts of cities. In this regard, there is a need to create a methodology for choosing the optimal location of antennas and access points and the possibility of their hidden placement. In this paper, various options for applying the methodology for designing a Wi-Fi network in a park area were considered.

Using the developed methodology for designing concealed antennas, modeling of various options for building a Wi-Fi network was carried out. A park area with 6 telecommunication wells with low-profile antennas located in a circle was considered. Also, a combined method for arranging low-profile antennas in wells and vibrator antennas along one of the boundaries of a park area with telecommunication wells was considered. The obtained technique can be used in the design of wireless broadband access networks in places with a large congestion of subscribers.
