Abstract:

Statement of the problem: Expansion of the apparatus for researching the effectiveness of the algorithm for determining the angular coordinates by the energy center of the Poisson image of the target in the plane of the array photodetector, taking into account the possibility of obtaining estimates without carrying out simulation modeling and numerous tests.

Purpose: Evaluation of the efficiency of the algorithm for determining the angular coordinates of the target by a matrix photodetector using the analytical approach.

Results: Based on the methods of the theory of probability, a mathematical model is proposed and the efficiency of the algorithm for determining the angular coordinates of the target by a matrix photodetector is evaluated. The problem is solved for the case when the distributions of the signal and noise at the output of one element of the photodetector obey Poisson's law. The possibility of using the considered approach for evaluating the efficiency of the algorithm with an accuracy acceptable for practice is shown.

Practical significance: The proposed analytical approach makes it possible, without carrying out statistical tests and experimental studies, to obtain precision indicators of the efficiency of the algorithm for determining the angular coordinates by the energy center of the Poisson image of the target in the plane of the matrix photodetector.
