Abstract:

Problem statement. Coherent signal processing, interference compensation along the main and side lobes of the antenna pattern, digital receiver processors and a monopulse method of detecting/tracking targets by angular coordinates have been introduced into radio-electronic systems (RES) for controlling forces and weapons. The development of technology and theory of signal processing has led to a crisis of classical methods of electronic suppression of systems using the radar principle of operation.

Goal. Ensuring the effectiveness of electronic suppression of modern RES by methods capable of neutralizing monopulse processing solving the main task: to exclude accurate tracking of angles.

Results. Based on the analysis of known methods of suppressing radar control of forces and weapons with monopulse processing, the most promising methods for providing electronic protection of aircraft have been identified

Practical significance. To suppress radar stations with a monopulse tracking method by angular coordinates, it is advisable to use the following interference:

coherent interference generated by the method of cross-relay;

adaptive cross-polarization interference;

interference of the “antipode” type when flying at low altitude.

The integration of coherent and cross-polarization interference within the framework of a single architecture of the interference generation station is proposed. With a combination of coherent and cross-polarization interference, significant difficulties should be expected in organizing protection against the effects of these interferences.
