The use of electronic warfare (EW) means is impossible without the use of a priori information about the radio engineering and energy parameters of the suppressed radio electronic means (REM), as well as its orientation in space, determined either by the bearing on the REM or by its location. Therefore, an urgent task is to determine the required characteristics of passive electronic surveillance equipment (ESE) to provide information to the electronic warfare system in order to maximize the effectiveness of electronic countermeasures.
Determine the main characteristics of a passive means of radio surveillance as a source of the necessary information to provide the means of electronic warfare.
A list of the main characteristics of a passive means of electronic surveillance has been determined, an assessment of the guaranteed margin in terms of the detection range of REM by means of ESE relative to the range of target detection by electronic means has been carried out.
The conditions for guaranteed detection of radio electronic devices by a passive means of ESE are determined, provided that information about the sources of radiation detected by means of passive radio surveillance is transmitted to the electronic warfare system in a timely manner.
