Abstract:

The article develops an approach to machine experiment method as applied to assessment characteristics of perimeter intruder detection systems (PIDS). Develops generalized technique for evaluating potentially achievable characteristics of PIDS, based on a leaky wave line effect with linear modulated frequency. The technique made it possible to evaluate attainable characteristics of this PIDS at a level corresponding to the best special equipment samples. Obtained results can be generalized to assess potentially achievable characteristics of the other PIDS types.
