Abstract:

At present, one of the urgent scientific and technical problems in the field of radio communications is the organization of tactically flexible field communications from unprepared areas. The solution to this problem can be the creation of mobile HF radio complexes. From the point of view of the authors, one of the most promising directions is the use of a broadband ring antenna array with antenna elements in the form of asymmetrical loop Pistolkors vibrators with a variable working length, which is achieved by using telescopic supports.

As a working solution, a model of an ring antenna array with a radius of 10 m was chosen. It includes six antenna elements with additional artificial soil metallization.

The electrodynamic analysis of the antenna system was carried out using the Fredgolm integral equations of the 1st and 2nd kind, supplemented by the integral representations of Sommerfeld, which make it possible to take into account the influence of the semiconducting underlying surface.

Two subsurface soil models were considered: “dry land” and “wet land”. For each model, the electrodynamic characteristics of the ring antenna array, such as the impedance characteristics of the antenna elements, as well as the directivity characteristics of the antenna system are investigated.

It is shown that in the low-frequency band the influence of soil parameters on the characteristics of the antenna system is significant, which leads to the need to organize an "artificial earth" in the form of additional soil metallization to ensure stable parameters of the antenna system.
