Abstract:

Problem statement. For small-sized transmitters of special signals, it is an extremely urgent task to create antennas with a radiation pattern close to circular in the azimuthal plane and a constant position of the radiation maximum, operating in a wide frequency range and having small dimensions.

Purpose. Development of a descriptive mathematical model and computer simulation of a broadband dipole antenna with point-topoint excitation.

Results. A mathematical model of the antenna was developed, integer solutions were found for the distribution of currents on the surface of the antenna, on the basis of which directional patterns were obtained for various frequencies and the input impedance of the antenna. Simulation computer modeling and prototyping of the proposed antenna have been carried out.

Practical significance. The proposed antenna can be used in small-sized broadband transmitters of special signals.
