Abstract:

Statement of a problem. Assessment of the quality of the designed equipment is necessary at all stages of its production. In the design process, the engineer calculates the parameters of the tool he is developing in order to assess its main characteristics and modes of operation. Only after preliminary calculations, the design proceeds to the next stage - the development of diagrams and the release of design documentation. However, not all calculations are capable of fully assessing the performance of a particular device being developed.

Purpose. Development of a methodology for assessing the effect of electromagnetic interference on the functioning of electronic devices in the process of their design, which will allow it to be applied with any software and hardware. The technique will contribute to an increase in the speed of decision-making on the revision of the product, if it does not comply with the standards in the field of electromagnetic compatibility at the stage of their design.

Results. The developed technique is being tested on a previously manufactured complex for testing electronic devices for the effect of electromagnetic interference. In the process of its development, aspects of its use were identified, according to which its revision was made along with the revision of the software of the testing complex itself. As a result of the final tests, this developed methodology made it possible to fully assess the effects of various types of electromagnetic radiation on the test device.

Practical importance. The developed technique allows it to be applied on a wide range of software and hardware for testing various electronic devices for the effect of electromagnetic interference, since it uses unified methods for generating test signals, as well as processing measurement results. Applying this technique, the developer can fully assess the effect of a particular radiation spectrum on the device being developed at the stage of its design and testing of prototypes.
