Abstract:

Statement of the problem. The results of studies of signals of detection devices of various physical principles of action allow us to identify them as non-stationary. Processing of non-stationary signals (processes) is a complex task. The available methods for processing non-stationary processes require knowledge of a priori information about signals and interference, but in practical implementation they remain very complex. At the same time, with the development of the component base of digital signal processing, new methods for processing non-stationary processes become available for implementation.

Goal. To investigate the potential possibilities of the Hilbert-Huang transform in signal processing of detection tools in order to increase the probability of correct detection and recognition while minimizing the probability of errors.

Results. Testing of the Hilbert−Huang transform on the available signal base showed acceptable results.

Practical significance. The list of available algorithms for use in detection tools for processing signals from detection objects and interference has been expanded.
