Abstract:

Digital simulation of planar array of 16 elements for frequency band 2,44 GHz is carried out by EMSS FEKO on the base of the method of moments. The calculations were performed with taking into account the power feeding system of the antenna array via a coaxial connector type SMA. A single radiating element of the antenna array is designed and simulated. Antenna array parameters are optimized for the case of truncated corners of antenna construction.

It is shown that in the case of placing of radiators and feeding system on different boards the influence of the radiation microstrip lines on antenna pattern could be reduced but worsen VSWR of antenna array. Also, the power divider was designed to provide the Chebyshev amplitude distribution of currents. The developed design of the antenna array is used for expanding of bandwidth compared to a single radiator.
