Abstract:

Target statement. One of the most effective counter measures against unmanned aerial vehicles is a space-distributed system of specialized transmitters of signal-like interference to global navigation al satellite system, whose potential capacities allow to implement a multipositional radar system basing on it. However, under the condition of a limited power bud get of «transmitter − receiver» radio link and using miniature un manned aerial vehicles with small radar effective area, signal-to-noise ratio in the receiver’s channels of preliminary signal processing in a such system is scarce, and small number of the link responses registered by signals from various transmitters doesn’t allow to use conventional positional methods of localization. The identified problem become seven more a cute in the situation of multitargeting, when intersite identification of responses from different targets is required.

Objective. To develop a method to enhance signal-to-noise ratio in multipositional radar system receiver’s preliminary signal processing unit with simultaneous localization of air targets and inter site identification of preliminary measurements results in the situation of multitargeting.

Results. The developed method is based on inter-channel spatially non coherent signal storage in a multichannel receiver and virtual scanning with for ming a total correlation function. It allows to enhance signal-to-noise ratio in the preliminary processing unit by factor of I times, where I represents the number of the receiver’s channels. In the course of virtual scanning, finding and determination of air targets is performed, using location of peaks of total correlation function as preliminary assessments. Intersiteidentificationofthepreliminarymeasurementsresultsinasituationofmultitargetingis performed by forming a measurement vector for each target with the use of their preliminary position data.

Practical implication. The developed method can be implicated in a receiver of a multipositional radar system based on specialized transmitters for air target fixation under the condition of small signal-to-noise ratio and to solve the problem of intersite identification of preliminary measurement results in a situation of multitargeting.
