Abstract:

To increase the tactical flexibility of field HF radio stations, it is necessary to create fast-deployable adaptive antenna systems. The article investigates ways to create compact fast-deployable broadband circular antenna arrays based on emitters with an operatively variable length.

The solution of a fast-rotating loop vibrator on a telescopic support and a circular antenna array based on it has been developed. Their main characteristics are calculated, including the VSWR at the input of vibrators, patterns, and the directivity of the array. It is shown that the use of the considered solution of a loop vibrator based on a telescopic support makes it possible to implement a quick-deployable HF antenna with an operatively variable operating frequency, as well as a circulararray of such antennas with a directivity of about 10−13 dB.

The proposed approach and technical solution can be used in the development of promising fast-deployable HF antenna arrays.
