Abstract:

Currently, there are a number of urgent technical problems related to the development of technology for manufacturing specialized antennas that are embedded in the hatch cover and have increased resistance to climate influences. In addition, it is no less important to design Wi-Fi networks in urban areas to ensure high quality of service.

Research of possibilities of implementation of Wi-Fi networks, access points of which are integrated into elements of urban infrastructure, in particular, in telecommunication wells.

As a result of research, it was found that the manhole covers of telecommunications wells have a strong influence on the level of field strength of Wi-Fi networks. The optimal, from the point of view of the least influence, was the polymer-sand type cover. A directional diagram of a low-profile antenna located in the manhole of a telecommunications well is presented. It is shown that this low-profile antenna has relatively uniform radiation in three directions. The field strength dependencies that are formed by using multiple access points are shown. It is found that when using multiple access points, there is a General increase in the field strength. The results of these studies can be used in the design of Wi-Fi networks in urban areas.
