Abstract:

The article is devoted to the development of single-satellite range difference method of geolocation. The article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of existing emitter geolocation methods. Given description of single-satellite range difference method using time of arrival measurement for signals with fixed pulse repetition period. Described a complex mathematical model, which makes it possible to estimate accuracy of single-satellite range difference method of emitter geolocation under various conditions, and given some results of its functioning. Considered the issues of identification of signals from the emitter, necessary for the stable functioning of this method, and the use of a single-coordinate single-base phase direction finder to increase the probability of correct identification. Made conclusion about the potential possibility of using the developed method for electronic warfare tasks.
