Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to research the analytical expressions which describe the characteristics of amplifying devices based on bipolar transistors and take into account their non-linear properties. It is possible to obtain expressions for some diode and transistor circuits using a special Lambert function, although for a transistor common-emitter amplifier these formulas have a rather cumbersome form. Therefore, the problem arises of finding more convenient forms for these expressions, as well as obtaining approximations based on them applicable to various modes, including the quasi-linear amplification mode most often used in practice.
