Abstract:

The effect of the registration device movements in technical vision systems (similar to the movement of the human eye) on the quality of the still original image restoration is considered.

In а human, under natural conditions, the formed mesh pattern never remains static relative to the eye retina, i.e. the eye in the vision process performs various types of movements. At present the purpose and properties of these movements remain not fully investigated. In this regard, the question of interests to know what possibilities can be realized in technical vision systems by moving of registration device in the process of still image formation.

To answer this question, the article describes the problem solution of image registration in technical vision systems in two modes: static, when the recording device is still, and dynamic, when the registration device makes movements in the image plane. It is assumed that registration device makes «small» movements relative to the scene of the formed image. In this case in contrast from static mode the random background component of the formed images will change over time. At the same time, the regular deterministic component (as in the static mode) can be considered immobile.

As a result of the conducted research to solve the problem of still images restoration in static and dynamic modes it was established that the restoration quality of the image formed in the process of moving the registration device is improved over time.
