The new method of data association and preliminary estimation of coordinates of air targets in multisensory radar is offered. The method operates in the multitarget conditions when trajectories of the targets are not tracked yet and all targets are observed simultaneously.
The method is based on use of position lines (ellipses) and uses virtual survey of space on an azimuth. The hypothetical site of the target on the ellipse is set, and the hypothesis about a target finding in this point is mustered.
The total discrepancy between the real total-range measurements and the total ranges counted for the hypothetical site of the target for all sensors of radar is used as a criterion parameter.
The hypothesis for which the global minimum of a total discrepancy will be gained is considered as a worker hypothesis.
Thus the hypothetical site is considered crude estimate of coordinates of the target, and the vector of measurements will be made of measurements of the different sensors providing the global minimum of a total discrepancy.
