Using statistical estimates of the propagation characteristics of radio waves to organize two-frequency duplex radio communication in a long shielded structure

Abstract:

The problem of finding probability of duplex radio communications in long shielded structures is considered. The approach to solving the problem is grounded. The results of electrodynamic modeling for point and distributed sources and the corresponding probability results are given. It is shown that proposed approach allows to solve this problem.

There is an actual problem of evaluating probability of duplex radio communications in long shielded structures. Usage of existing electrodynamic analysis methods will only allow to obtain the levels of the electromagnetic field, which are indirectly related to the said characteristics.

At the same time, practice shows that the coupling factor between the subscriber device and the base station, as well as the probability of establishing duplex radio communication, are of primary interest. The last factor is of paramount importance during the operation.

The problem of obtaining an estimate of probability of duplex radio communications in long shielded structures is considered. The approach to solving the problem based on the introduction of statistical estimates of the probability density based on the results of electrodynamic analysis is substantiated.

The article presents the results of electrodynamic modeling of distributed and point sources in long shielded structure. Relevant results of the evaluation of the probability of establishing radio communications are presented. It is shown that the application of the proposed approach allow solving this problem.
