Abstract:

The paper proposes a model of the information subsystem «optical-electronic means of detection – a system for collecting and processing information», which differs from the known ones with its ability to determine the direction of movement of objects depending on the order of receiving special «long» and «short» pulses of a useful signal. It is noted that practical application of the model in question can be the security monitoring of the road network elements.

Traditionally, optoelectronic means are used to control linear sections of the protected perimeter of the object or area. The hypothesis of the possibility of obtaining additional information about the actions of the violator by analyzing the signal structure of the optoelectronic means is put forward and practically confirmed. It is found that the structure of the signal from the intruder at different distances from the transmitting module is significantly different. With distance from the transmitting module, the radiation pattern expands. Therefore, the intruder is in the detection zone for a longer period of time. This made it possible to make an assumption about the possibility to estimate approximately the distance to the point of crossing the boundary, provided that the offender moves uniformly. The implementation of this hypothesis is proposed for the control of road junctions.
