Abstract:

Two signal formation models in a linearly distributed magnetometer have been developed for practical use. The first model estimates an allowable distance between the transducer and the parallel transport movement. The second model shows a possibility for transport registration with standard alternating magnetic field sources.

The article is devoted to new signal formation model development in a distributed, two-line wired magnetometer transducer, located in ground. Useful signals in accordance with electromagnetic induction law are caused by a change in magnetic flux through transducer circuit, caused by target ferromagnetic mass movement, for which a dipole approximation is permissible. The first model allows to estimate permissible distance from transducer to parallel movement path of the target, at a given threshold. The second model shows recording targets possibility, for example vehicles, with established reference "beacon" sources of alternating magnetic field. Useful signal registration for the second model, compared with the first, is possible at much greater distances. This provides the basis for implementation of a quasi-one-linear transducer with a contour width of several centimeters for recording and controlling traffic flows.
