Abstract:

The properties of fixed phase shifter structure, the phase-shift channel of which is a coupled smooth nonuniform transmission line section loaded with a short-circuited stub being a single smooth nonuniform transmission line section, are analyzed. The reference channel is a single uniform transmission line. The synthesis problem was solved in T-wave approximation, and circuit and electrodynamic (EM) modeling was performed. The phase shifter layout on smooth nonuniform microstrip transmission lines is manufactured and its experimental study is carried out. Experiment results are in satisfactory agreement with the simulation results.
