Abstract:

The article gives an example of increasing the linearity of a differential cascade using two methods: compensation and structural. The key differences between the two methods are explained. The resulting schemes were modeled in a CADENCE package based on the PDK from IHP (Germany) of the SiGe BiCMOS 0.25 μm technology. The compression point at the input of the differential cascade was increased by 3.3 and 8.5 dB for compensation and structural methods, respectively.
