The problem of experimental determination of the acoustic velocity of a crystal is considered. The paper gives a mathematical description of the measurement method. Two different measurement techniques are given, for systems with and without calibration. Requirements are obtained for the limiting measuring frequencies for a specified parameter of the intensity inhomogeneity, after which it is not expedient to carry out measurements. The results of numerical modeling of the intensity of diffraction when probing a crystal with a meander with a variable frequency of modulation are shown in the paper. The results were compared with experimental data.
