Abstract:

The algorithm of reception of signals of orthogonal frequency multiplexing (OFDM) in channels with dispersion and fast fading is considered. A new structure of the OFDM symbol consisting of a test pattern is proposed, the information content of which is known at the receiving location and, so-called «work packet», where the message symbols are transmitted. This structure under conditions of a rapidly changing channel has better characteristics of noise immunity in comparison with the traditional structure of a group signal. The modulation is carried out by a QPSK modulator. The use of the algorithm «reception in the whole» with element-wise decision-making allows you to abandon the use of prefixes and postfixes in the structure of the OFDM symbol, which leads to an increase in bandwidth.
