Abstract:

Equations describing attenuation of electromagnetic waves by a forest with relatively thick tree trunks over a wide frequency band and for variable electrical parameters of wood are derived. The formulas allow to estimate the attenuation of coherent wave as well as the level of diffuse scattering.
