Abstract:

It is proposed the method for evaluating of complex radio-location images formed by remote sensing systems in various frequency ranges, suggesting determination of quality and information content parameters for the images. To assess the quality of the images, the error variance of radio-location image generation in each frequency range was used, and the entropy of the half-tone image was used to estimate the information content. To test the methodology, simulation modeling of cooperative and separate processing of radar images for centimeter and decimeter bands was carried out, the results of which have provided the estimates of quality and information content of the images. The simulation results indicate the information content increase and error variance decrease of radio-location images generated with the help of cooperative processing, compared with the same radio-location images formed as a result of separate processing.
