The objects of the study are the backscattering diagrams of reference cylinders with the different geometry, as well as cylinders with asymmetric cuts, restored by measurements in the Fresnel zone. There are some recommendations for the cases using monostatic method of measuring radar cross-section and using bistatic method. Then the verification of RCS (designed for long-distance areas and reconstructed from measurements in the Fresnel zone) of the reference cylinder with 1.5 m generatrix was performed. To apply the method it is necessary to provide both amplitude and phase measurements.
