Abstract:
This paper dwells on potential accuracy of estimations of phase difference and arrival time difference between the received signals by two spaced sensors, as well as optimal algorithms to obtain them. Suggested algorithms allow to approximate measurement of relative phase and time shift of an unknown pulse signal in a two-channel system to optimal values. By means of math modeling, the degree of approximation of obtained estimation variances to Cramer-Rao lower bound at different signal-to-noise ratios is evaluated.
