Abstract:

The analysis of the information loss in signal conversion, associated with the linear section of the characteristic of the unit of nonlinear transformation of the discriminator is conducted. It is shown that to solve the problems of synthesis and analysis of discriminators correctly, it is necessary to consider not only the form of the processed signal, but also the impact of probability the density of distribution of interference and practically important errors of mismatch between the actual and reference values of signals. The expressions for the limit value of Fisher information loss is obtained for the case when the interference distribution is poly-Gaussian.
