The problems of the synthesis and analysis of discriminators under the influence of non-Gaussian broadband noise and non-Gaussian noise with a band spectrum are considered. Comparative analysis of the effectiveness of processing the parameters of signals exposed to the above-mentioned types of noise is carried out. It is shown that the output effect of the discriminator is the sum of the signal and noise parts. It is shown that the characteristics of the unit of nonlinear transformations of the discriminator are determined by the form of the PDF of noise and mismatch errors. It is noted that when exposed to non-Gaussian narrowband noise, the discriminator should be dual-channeled. The Fisher information relative to the PDF of the instantaneous values of broadband noise and relative to the PDF of envelope amplitudes of narrowband noise is estimated. It is shown that the efficiency of non-linear processing depends on the ratio of the power of phase-modulated noise to the power of Gaussian noise.
