Abstract:

It is reported about results of the development of a telemetry system from downhole equipment transmitted through a logging cable to an acquisition station located on the surface. It is dealt with algorithm of data compression for increasing the information channel capacity. The presented data compression algorithm is based on splitting the information byte into two parts and transmitting four bits in one period of the carrier frequency of the transmitted signal. Data are given about block diagram of the node of the transmitter of the downhole device for transmiting the telemetric signal to surface acquisition station.
