Abstract:

Transmission characteristics of one-layered frequency selective surface with cross-shaped aperture elements intended for narrowband filtration of signals are investigated numerically. Calculations were carried out for frequency range 70…110 GHz in assumption of normal incidence of electromagnetic wave on the surface. It was found that the period of 2D structure influences essentially on the pass band, resonance frequency and attenuation. In some cases, considered configuration of a mesh filter allows replacing analogous cascaded devices.
