Abstract:

Quasi-analytical expressions, allowing calculating with sufficient for practical purposes accuracy the cutoff wavelengths of the dominant and the first high order modes and the broadbandness coefficient of regular hexagonal waveguide with homogeneous dielectric filling are obtained. Results of calculations of cutoff wavelengths of the dominant and the first high order modes and the broadbandness coefficient of hollow regular hexagonal waveguide, carried out by using quasi-analytical technique and the finite element method are compared.
