A signal detection algorithm is synthesized against a narrow-band noise background. It is shown that for signal detection, interference cancellation and consistent processing with a distorted signal are necessary. This coordinated processing consists in a complex weighted summation of the results of the rejection in each quadrature channel and taking the module. To assess the detection characteristics, a mathematical simulation of a pulse signal detector with a random amplitude and the initial phase against a background of narrow-band interference with a different band in the absence and presence of a receiver blanking pulse was performed.
