The article considers the application of the temporary accumulation method (TAM) to assess the characteristics of existing and prospective GNSS signals. It is shown that the currently method of spatial accumulation, based on the use of highly directional antennas, not only does not solve the problem of studying perspective signals of GLONASS and GNSS, but it is also not completely correct for the study of existing signals. Demonstration of the TAM is used to obtain all the characteristics used (power, waveform, autocorrelation function, spectrum, constellation diagram, etc.). The TAM increase in signal-to-noise ratio ≈60 … 70 dB or more is equivalent to the amplification of directional antennas with a diameter of more than 100 m, which, in contrast to the temporary accumulation method, does not solve the problem of isolating components from a set of signals.
